I own an i7-10700k with 16 GB 3200 MHZ Corsair RGB Vengeance Pro RAM, a 750 watt gold-rated EVGA PSU, an ASUS B550M Plus with Wi-Fi motherboard, a Samsung 970 EVO Plus plus 1 TB SSD running Windows 10, and a 4 TB Seagate Barracuda HDD. My new MSI Mech 2x RX 6700xt isn’t performing well with games, especially titles like Fortnite and Overwatch that should run smoothly. I’ve been trying various fixes for about three weeks now and am feeling really frustrated. I’m hoping someone more experienced on this forum can help me find a solution.

I've checked previous settings. Your GPU appears to be operating at maximum capacity during gaming sessions.

B550 is an AMD chipset. Is your board using the B560M or a Ryzen processor instead of the 10700K?

I turned off ULPS, disabled Windows Game Mode, updated the BIOS, reinstalled my display drivers via DDU, adjusted the AMD Adrenaline Software and Windows display settings. Despite these changes, the issue persists across games like Fortnite and Overwatch. I’m certain it’s not a GPU problem since another AMD GPU worked fine with an RX 6600. I also tested it with an NVGA X1650 Super and everything functioned properly, which is the GPU I’m upgrading from. Let me try running some games to check if it’s fully utilized.

The GPU usage remains steady around 60 percent, occasionally falling as low as 16 percent. On average, it drops to roughly 30 percent during Fortnite gameplay. I’m not sure what’s causing this.

Check for a CPU limitation. Raise the parameters until your GPU reaches 99% utilization and observe if the issues disappear.

Fortnite and Overwatch require less GPU power, making them manageable even on a CPU.
