Hello! I recently set up a basic desktop using an AMD 4650G processor. In Norway, dedicated graphics cards are nearly unavailable even on the used market, so this is the most practical option right now. I understand that setting the VRAM to a higher value won’t meaningfully improve performance, but some games fail to load because they only recognize 512MB of VRAM. I attempted to increase it to 2GB in the BIOS on the Gigabyte B550 DS3H motherboard, but after saving and rebooting, it still shows 512MB. When I revisit the BIOS settings, it reverts to the default configuration. Could there be something I’m missing? Is there a way to actually make this work? Meanwhile, all other BIOS parameters are set to defaults except for the XMP profile for 3200MHz RAM and a few fan profiles. Are there any adjustments in the BIOS that could enhance the experience beyond overclocking?
What titles are available? If the game doesn’t allow play, it might be more about the GPU power than the VRAM. Still, I question if the 4650G can handle a specific game.
