You need to modify PBO while monitoring voltage, ensuring it stays below 1.35V across all cores—though even that is deemed excessive, they suggest 1.3V for general use. Personally, I stick to the BIOS settings instead of Ryzen Master. You must reset CMOS before making BIOS adjustments, since Ryzen Master can override BIOS configurations (settings saved under "AMD Overclocking" in the BIOS). Lower voltage doesn't always mean better results.

I reset the CMOS and refreshed the BIOS if needed—it could resolve some problems. For the undervolting, stick to around -0.2V at most; 0.5V is too high. Those 4850MHz clocks are unlikely to appear. I don’t understand why they’re present.

I was adjusting the BIOS settings, using Ryzen Master to check temperatures, clocks, and voltage. I relied on CPU-Z for voltage monitoring as well. Locking cores to a fixed value meant I couldn't manually tweak the voltage, since any change seemed to hurt performance regardless of setting. I noticed a video but plan to review it again—maybe I overlooked something. The BIOS was updated two days ago, and my motherboard boots at 1.5V and 1.45V for RAM by default, which is why I set aggressive undervolting. It’s unclear if the motherboard is reacting to something, but it appears to be overreacting with voltage readings. Also, the 4850 chipset isn’t behaving as expected; enabling PBO for higher current gives overly optimistic results. If you’d like, I can reset the CMOS and boot normally—you’ll see these extreme values, which are worse than what Jay2Cents demonstrated in his guide.

The CPU voltage is within normal range for Zen 2. You should notice a drop under load. It's advisable to avoid excessive adjustments. A voltage of 1.45V is acceptable for RAM. The concern lies around 1.6V for continuous operation, possibly due to board configuration. RAM voltage might also depend on the board setup. Ensure you're using a fully manual configuration or DOCP profile. Some problems could be related to the X370 board itself. A X570 board might help, but it's just a guess.

I adjusted it to level 1, then tried 2, 3, and 4, but it only made the thermals worse and reduced the CPU clock.

Remove Ryzen master completely. Set default settings in RM prior to removal. Power down the device and erase CMOS for a minimum of 10 seconds—extend if necessary. Upload the unit to see how it operates normally.

The 3900X reaches around 4350MHz and still works fine.
