I have the Asus Z790 - E Strix board, and the 13900K - everything is stock I haven't overclocked it yet, but damn if it isn't hot a f at idle speeds. I'm using a Corsair H150I and the fans are maxed out. Any idea what the issue is? My pump, the fans, everything is definitely working...

It seems the readings don’t match expectations. The package temperature is significantly higher than the core temperature, which feels unusual. If you turn off the fans, does the radiator start warming up? With these values, it should definitely heat up when you do that.

The H150i was secured firmly against the backplate, usually just needing a light touch. If it feels snug, it’s likely properly tightened. It seems unlikely there’s any remaining plastic on the heatsink, suggesting a clean installation where the CPU can truly rest.

the records indicate repeated thermal throttling, not just idle workloads being managed.

I overlooked the idle load and my wording was unclear. I wasn't intending to describe an idle process, but rather a leftover power virus from an older Windows version that kept the CPU active. I completely missed the graph displaying the load percentage, so I relied only on temperature readings. Appreciate the correction!
