Hey all. I apologise in advance if this post sounds noob pro max. I’ve recently built a PC and slowly learning how to read benchmarks etc. I have been testing my GPU with Furmark to see if everything is working ok and I noticed that my 12VHPWR says it is pulling 290w power on 100% GPU usage when the cable is capable of pulling 600W. Is this normal? Thank you.

However, 5070 units aren't strong enough to handle 600 watts. Verify the power limit of the card.

Yes, it should work as long as the cable can handle 290W under those conditions.

The 5070ti typically draws around 300w, but gaming often uses less. Overclocked versions might consume slightly more power.

The cable is designed for a maximum load of 600 watts. You're using less than that, which is safe.

The cable rated at 600W indicates it can handle up to that power without exceeding a temperature rise of more than 30°C above the surrounding environment.
