I just installed a brand new PC and am planning to boost my motherboard's speed to 4000mhz for better memory support. I need any advice or assistance here—it would be incredibly helpful!!
Here are my current details:
Processor: Intel i7 6700k
Motherboard: ASUS z170 sabertooth white
Cooler: Kraken x61
RAM: Galax DDR4 4000mhz overclocked
GPU: Galax gtx 1080 HOF
Power Supply: Evga 1000w G2
Storage: SAMSUNG 950 PRO M.2 512GB
Case: Corsair Graphite Series 760T White

The schedule is correct, the voltage should be 1.4, and after that, turning on XMP might provide the remaining power.

You don't have to "boost the motherboard" in your BIOS. Enable XMP to allow RAM to run at full speed. Check stability; if not, consider slightly increasing the CPU speed. This guide should assist you.

I turned on XMP but received a message indicating the DRAM voltage must be adjusted. The current setting was 1.4v, which I believed was the correct value for 4000mhz memory.

Yes 1.4v matches the memory, set it and then XMP should function. If not, you might need to reach out to GALAX to determine further adjustments required for proper operation.

When the error appeared as 1.4v in purple, consider adjusting your CPU settings and reapplying XMP for memory.

I made some adjustments and achieved the default frequency of 19-25-25-45 at 2934.18mhz, but it's still not at 4000mhz.
