Hello, for your GPU upgrade to a 3080, you don’t necessarily need to upgrade your CPU unless you plan on doing heavy multitasking or gaming. Your current i7-7700K at 4.2GHz should work well with the 3080. As for the 4K monitor at 60Hz, that’s fine too. Consider upgrading only if you notice performance drops under load.

I usually play Call of Duty in 1440p, but I'm curious—does it really matter? I rarely use 4K because my monitor only supports 1080p, and my FPS drops significantly. So I'm used to 1440p, and when I get a 3080, I think I'll stick with that instead of going higher.
After receiving the 3080, simply set it to 4K for an improved experience.
Thanks for your feedback. I checked the video and confirmed it runs smoothly at around 100fps even in 4K with my 7700k setup. The player seems to handle about 10 extra frames per second on a i9 10900k. Based on this, I think it’s better to upgrade rather than stick with the current model.
