I’d enjoy trying out ten options but I don’t have an extra hard drive or another PC for testing! All I really need is two things: one, the ability to turn off the taskbar just like in Windows 8.0, since I never actually use it and I find it unnecessary; two, a way to reset the Start Screen/Metro so it feels more like Windows 7, letting me toggle between enabling or disabling them. That would really help because I think customization is important—like making the taskbar appear or vanish and adjusting the look to match Windows 7. I don’t see why Windows 8 would be difficult; I can switch settings in just ten minutes. Edit: An app could suggest features for Windows 10 later, including a nice moving animation as a background. What do you want in Windows 10?
To make it less important? Honestly, I prefer to say this but Windows 7 was far superior rather than completely replacing the interface (which Microsoft is still working on). It might simply be a progression of Windows 7. (In fact, it retains many UI elements from Windows 7 while incorporating some features from Windows 8.) #ChromeOS #OS X #Ubuntu #Linux #NoWindows
Nothing in particular, but if we compare 7 and 10 I'd like nothing taken away either.
