240gb for a C drive is likely insufficient at best.
A 1tb Samsung Evo will cost less than $100.
Utilize the Samsung Magician migration app to transfer your C drive to the new SSD.
Concerns about losing W10 support are a separate matter.
Or, if you require greater processor performance, that presents another consideration.
