Your motherboard is a Prime H370-A, and it only connects via Ethernet. You're trying to use wireless connectivity by placing the PC on the opposite side of the hose from the modem, but it doesn't fit there. I'm not sure if a table will help. Do you know any options for getting wireless through a card or similar solution? I also saw some PCI-E cards advertised, but they claim to improve performance—do they really work? Thanks for your help!

Choose a long Ethernet cable, but Wi-Fi works better.

I've experienced excellent results with this product from TP Link. It's also quite affordable and straightforward to operate.

They're suggesting that using USB or cards can provide internet access even without a motherboard that includes it.
