he is using a 13900k Msi suprim liquid x4090 Corsair 4 sticks, each 16gb, with 6000mhz DDR5 RAM on a nzxt z790 motherboard powered by a 1200 watt power supply. the kracken z73 360mm model is available, but you’ll notice the RAM limitation when upgrading from 4gb to more. this isn’t just about speed or capacity—it also opens up more possibilities.

Initially, the problems mentioned were either from the early DDR5 era where training algorithms struggled with 4x16GB setups or discussions about 4x32GB configurations that placed extra strain on memory controllers compared to 4x16GB setups. It remains more sensitive than 2x32GB and isn't fully reliable, though it generally functions. Regarding the rest of your points, I’m not sure what you’re referring to. Each drive receives equal power regardless of whether it’s 2x16GB or 4x16GB.

Check @Jackaroe Run HWiNFO for the PL1 and PL2 turbo power thresholds. Using the standard defaults will lower performance noticeably. Good quality motherboards usually offer an open setting that pushes power limits all the way to 4095W.

Thanks for the update. I wasn’t familiar with RAM topics, so I wasn’t sure what was being discussed. It’s reassuring that a more experienced person helped clarify things.
