Take charge of the folder by checking its permissions in Windows. Click the folder, go to Properties, then Security. Navigate to Advanced, enter your username, and click Check Names. Toggle the box to replace owner on subcontainers. Apply the changes.

You may add your current account to Full Control Permissions. Right-click the folder, then Properties, Security, Advanced. Enter your username and select the checkbox for full control. Confirm and click Apply.
