Hey, I assembled my PC step by step and upgraded key components like RAM, fans, GPU, and power supply, adding more storage along the way. Until recently, after moving out, I switched to three monitors and the system started failing to boot. Now, whenever I restart (since turning it off isn’t convenient), I have to repeatedly turn it on and off to get into setup mode. From there, in BIOS I can pick the boot page, but my priority is set to the Windows drive on a Samsung 980 500GB M.2 SSD. I’ve checked forums and still haven’t found a solution. I think I read from somewhere that there is a bios setting called "aggressive LPM support" that could be disabled when having a Samsung ssd as boot drive and encountering this kind of problem. Have you also checked availible pci-e lines? That's alot of ssd. Also use Samsung magician to get the latest firmware on those ssd, and check for errors.
use stresstest rams with prime95 largeffts to verify rams stability. ensure rams aren’t triggering unexpected behavior. a simple solution could be swapping boards—any unusual issues are likely board-related. replacing the board might cost around $50 and could restore normal operation. consider removing the SSD; if the board posts consistently after removal, the problem is likely the SSD itself. if not, the board may still be faulty.
Reviewed the bio for some time but didn’t locate anything labeled LMP support. If you know the exact subpage it appears on, it might be useful. I’ve verified all my entries and they function correctly—confirming the boot drive is an NVMe M.2, so no need to open the case for storage issues.
It seems most tests passed even after restarting. The best choice would be this option, which I’m willing to spend $50 on. The motherboard and CPU are the only parts I haven’t changed yet. I haven’t used my SSD since adding another one that matches the three I now own. I’m certain it’s not mine unless they shipped a virus (all my storage is brand new). Edited May 3, 2024 by Imwickman
