Hello, your Lenovo IdeaPad s145 is having a persistent 0xc0000185 issue after shutdowns. After resetting CMOS and battery, it worked until one day it became unresponsive. Booting from USB fixed the problem but still shows the error. Windows 8.1 was installed successfully, though you can't install Windows 10 or 11 now. The MBR and boot settings haven't helped. Please let me know if you need further guidance.

It sounds like your system is having issues installing Windows despite adding new drives

Hello, I switched to an SSD and HDD, but installation stopped at Windows 8.1. I'm running in UEFI mode with Windows on a GPT partition.

I acquired Win 8.1 from Lenovo's website. I'm setting up Windows through the official installation process. The laptop originally came with Windows 10 Home.

It was originally included with Windows 10, but the issue prevented booting, so I downloaded Windows 8.1 Pro from Microsoft. It’s now operating smoothly at version 8.1 Pro. I’ve included a portion of the error message for reference.
