It was already turned off before, but for some reason the option wasn't available when the problem occurred. I just had to verify and uncheck the box after restarting the system.

I'm planning to explore other solutions first, but that choice looks really attractive... I just got the thought of adjusting the icon sizes and checking if the problem continues.

Place them all in a desktop folder for easy access, ensuring you don’t have to relocate every shortcut even if the desktop moves. Just a single folder should suffice.
