While I firmly believe that PC gaming is currently much better than console gaming given all the different benefits, has there ever been a time where you missed a certain part about owning a console? I kind of miss just being able to go to gamestop and buy a game used for cheap instead of waiting on a steam sale for that specific game, Also Halo parties were great. I remember playing online in the evening and then being invited to some random guy's custom game lobby from my recent players list.
I don’t miss much at all. I still have a console for games like Tekken. It’s been tough, but I’ve managed to bring around 90% of my friends into the PC scene. I’m expecting a challenge with Destiny 2, especially with GPU costs, but I’m hoping to catch up and drag them along.
I miss split-screen gaming. Probably just fond memories of playing with friends after school. Also, I miss being able to complete Elder Scrolls titles. On PC I follow a cycle: launch a fresh game, tweak it for visual appeal, play 20 minutes before adding the item "f 20000000" and getting all the best equipment and weapons, then continue modifying until it breaks. I haven't finished Skyrim on PC yet.
Uncertain about whether you missed the split screen or the friends part more...
I don’t miss anything... because I’ll still purchase consoles. The only real reason is probably money. PC gaming looks better in graphics. I really like playing on consoles for many FPS shooters rather than a PC. It’s nice to be able to relax on the couch with just a controller and everything running smoothly. Yesssss. Golden Eye, Perfect Dark... even betting on NHL 94 games.
