You're concerned about performance and security. Disabling the virus scanner might improve speed, but it could leave your system vulnerable. Since Alyac is free and trusted in South Korea, you can use it without risk if you're cautious. If you want extra protection, consider keeping it but adjusting settings to limit resource usage.

I don't rely on them since I'm not naive. That's why I say no. In my view, anti-virus is meant for those who aren't familiar with technology.

As long as you're not engaging in reckless behavior (like downloading large amounts), you should be okay without it or just something like Malwear Bytes.

You can turn off automatic disk checks, I wouldn’t skip having at least one antivirus program.

Use Malwarebytes or simply turn off the scans.

You don’t have to be naive to catch a virus. Do you verify your links each time you visit a site to confirm everything is accurate? If not, consider using an antivirus. The Windows firewall acts as one, so if it’s turned on, you shouldn’t claim you’re not relying on it.

It's all about basic judgment when interacting with online content. Keeping things safe is easy if you avoid risky downloads.

It hasn't happened to me once in two years. I think I'm lucky if you don't see it as obvious.
