It looks like micsoft put bad code in their office program. You can check it by going to this link: https://support.google.com/docs/thr...t-...wser?hl=en. When you try to open a google doc or drive from inside a micsoft file, you get stuck on the help page. That link goes to a weird site that says they will fix your browser updates. We went straight to the edge update page and ran it. Guess what? The same fake message came back! Even when we changed the long URL into a short one, it gave us the exact same error. This makes me think something is wrong.

Look at the default app settings to see which program opens .doc files. You can find more info at this link about changing file associations in Windows.
