I just played Far Cry 3 a few days back and moved on to Far Cry 4. I’m not sure why it feels less smooth compared to FC3 even at around 80fps. The mouse movement lacks the fluidity it had before. Anyone experiencing the same issue? Any suggestions for improvement? My system specs are an i5 4690k with OC, 4.5GHz, GTX 970 OC at 1527MHz and 8GB RAM.

The field of view can be uncomfortable when it's set too wide, especially around 60 degrees.

It's not a blurring effect, just a slight inconsistency in motion.

I recall hearing about mouse acceleration problems; it's unclear if any updates addressed them.

I disabled the motion blur, it’s not realistic, it doesn’t look like real life. I’ll have gone for a wider field of view.

Could be that you're overdoing it.

Desktop use needs a broader field of view to avoid discomfort, since you're near the screen. About 60 degrees is fine in a living room but triggers sickness on a desktop. The screen should look like a real window into the game. That means the closer you are, the narrower the FOV becomes.

I feel unsteady during sync in any AC game. Haven’t tried towers in FC games. I close my eyes during those cutscenes. lol I’ll remember this. Thanks.

You achieved the highest field of view possible, but it still feels insufficient in practice.
