Hey, I've noticed the system slowing down and frames dropping. I checked Ryzen Master while using CineBeach R23 and saw it listed as Ryzen 5 3600 with 3 cores and 6 threads. In Ryzen Master, CCX showed as asleep during a multi-core task. Switching off simultaneous multithreading restored me to 6 cores and 6 logical processors, which should be 12 logical processes before. Feeling confused and exhausted from troubleshooting. Thanks for all the information.
SMT offers AMD's substitute for Intel HyperThreading. It uses a "virtual core" concept, where a real physical core can handle scheduling to seem like two cores. Turning SMT off removes this feature, leaving just the physical cores and resulting in 6 logical processors. When SMT is active, you get 6 physical cores supporting 12 threads, providing 12 logical processors.
