I’m a new PC gamer who used consoles before, and at first I didn’t notice much difference between them. After a few months playing on PC, the gaps become clear—like in Tomb Raider, the game runs slower when I leave the battery saver on, or in Destiny, I get stutters and lag I hadn’t seen before. Over time, the 30fps drop becomes more noticeable compared to 60fps. I’m wondering how other gamers feel about switching from consoles to PC. Does it match my experience, or is it quite different?

It's clear now that GTA V on my PS3 feels similar to GTA San An after watching high-resolution gameplay.

My experience was quite shocking. The gap between 60 and 30 is tough on my eyes, lol. At first, the games looked odd but not problematic. After a while, I got used to smooth 60fps in everything, but now I can't return to 30. I wish it was still okay so I could play those old Ubisoft ports and games that are stuck at 30fps for no reason. Beyond 60, the improvement stops being worth it. I haven’t seen anything above 144hz myself, but I hope it would be nice to see.

To keep enjoying 60fps, I’ll just run the games at around 20 or 30 frames per second all the time. It’s a bit of a challenge, but getting back to 60 feels perfectly satisfying.

60fps works well in many cases, but sometimes I feel discomfort during long sessions at around 60fps. It started after I began watching on high-quality TVs in a local appliance store.

I quickly adapted to playing on PC because the gap between my 360 and laptop was minimal. I probably wouldn’t be able to run MW3 at over 45 fps, but now that I’m playing GTA V, BOII or Titanfall at a friend’s place, I feel amazing. Coming back to my $1,800 PC the next day is thrilling. It’s not scary for me to switch from console to PC—it’s actually great!

That’s unusual but intriguing—I’m curious about what causes it.

I began playing games on a PC, but it was quite an old machine so my frame rates weren't great ^^ that's just normal, you won't really notice at first but the gap becomes obvious once you adapt.

I've tried this before, but the results were short-lived. Going back to 60 didn't have a lasting impact either.

I notice a big difference in these numbers, I can spot the small changes easily. 30 frames per second is almost not usable (especially in games like Bf3/4).
