This laptop lacks a sticker containing the license key. How can I obtain it? I plan to resell it and require the original product key to activate Windows XP and convert it into a Windows 10 key (MS support advised they need the old key).

If it doesn't have a sticker it uses an OEM (bulk) key that is tied to the bios, you will have to install XP and then see if it will allow you to update to win 7 or directly to win 10 for free.

Yes, you need to install XP with the Dell restore system. Upgrading to Windows 7 using the XP key will replace the old XP key. Changing to a Windows 7 key will remove the previous XP key.

Restore XP first, then attempt the update to 7. It will retrieve your license key from the BIOS and apply the update automatically if supported. You won't lose the old XP key unless you don't have it, but you can still restore back to XP later.

How to access the system restore by Dell on that laptop. Also, how to keep it for remote play from PS4 Slim while using Windows 7 and not knowing how to open the XP restore system by Dell (F8 or something).

Upgrading from XP to 7 was/is a paid service.
Not free.
You might prefer purchasing a valid license for <whatever> and performing a complete reset and installation.
Confused here?
Reselling it is an option, but you’ll need a valid license and will have to wipe it clean.
What are the specifications of this system?
Do you have a specific goal in mind—Win 7 or 10?

I altered my decision.
I aim to maintain remote play on the PS4 from another place and from home (I have a method for that).
This setup includes 1GB of RAM, 256MB of video memory, a 1.8 GHz CPU, and three hard drives.

Is 1GB RAM appropriate for this system? It doesn't work with Windows 7 or 10. What processor should I consider? Either Linux or the old computer parts.
