You got a fresh monitor, but it’s slowing down your game performance compared to when you had higher FPS.
I recently purchased an MSI OPTIX G241 monitor, and performance in games that previously ran smoothly at around 50-60 FPS on my older 60Hz display has noticeably dropped, even after adjusting resolution and refresh rate. As someone new to computer hardware, I’m unsure if this is typical or if there’s something I missed before buying the monitor. I’m trying to figure out whether it’s a driver issue or another problem, but I feel completely uncertain since this is my first time buying a new monitor. Could you please advise? Any extra details would be helpful. Thank you!
Based on what you said, you don’t have an NVIDIA graphics card, which means you don’t need G-SYNC.
