It's generally fine to connect the AIO pump to the CPU fan or system fan headers if your motherboard doesn't have one. Just make sure the wiring matches your setup.

I tried using a Thermaltake AIO that wouldn't connect properly when plugged into an AIO Pump header. I switched fans so the pump would run on CPU fan only, and it functioned perfectly afterward. I don’t know if the problem was with the AIO or the motherboard, but I didn’t bother to check further because the solution worked for me.
