Almost a month after assembling my PC, I got drawn in by the buzz around DODI Repacks Bloodborne PC. Right after installing it and playing a few levels, I noticed my CPU temperatures spiked unexpectedly. Previously, idle temps stayed steady between 45-50°C, but now they jump to 65-70°C instantly, then drop back down to 45-50°C. When I power on the machine, temps start at around 65°C and fall to 45°C after a short stress test. During gameplay, menus and other tasks show similar patterns—around 75°C, dropping quickly once I start playing. For all checks, I used MSI Afterburner and Ryzen Master to cap the temps at 89°C max. Malware scans and Windows Defender came back clean. I removed everything related to Bloodborne emulation and cleared my system. Task Manager showed no issues. In every game, performance remained stable—especially in high-end titles like Ow and Warzone. My GPU stays within a comfortable range of 20-30°C idle and peaks at 65°C during gaming. My hardware specs are: Ryzen 7 7800X3D, Gigabyte OC Radeon RX 7700 XT, 12GB/32GB DDR5, 6000GB RAM, B650 Aorus Elite ATX, Thermalright Peerless assassin 120 SE. Windows 11 is installed. Is there anything I should do? Could malware have affected my setup? Maybe I should reset everything and reinstall Windows.
Open the task manager and scan for unfamiliar processes consuming excessive CPU. Consider reverting to a previous system restore if possible. This approach is usually safe, but verify the issue first. Some observed behavior might simply stem from typical variations such as temperature changes or unnecessary software.
Windows tends to reinstall itself several times, but it seems you didn't encounter any malware. The chances of something harmful are low. If you're considering a clean setup, wiping the drive and starting fresh gives you peace of mind. When you play new games, Windows often adds runtime libraries and registry entries, which can use extra resources and slightly raise CPU usage. This should help clarify things.
I already own Bloodborne on PS4, just wanted to experience it at 60 frames per second on PC.
