That's right. I've tried everything possible but Edge is still blocking me. The error message says "This app has been blocked by your system administrator." Here is what I have already done: - Installed all GPOs from the Administrative Templates on Microsoft. - Turned on "Allow Microsoft accounts to be optional". - Turned on "UAC: Admin approval mode for built-in admin accounts". - Turned on "UAC: Run all admin accounts in Admin approval mode". - Turned on "elevate without prompting UAC: Behavior of the elevation for admins in admin approval mode". I even opened Security Settings inside Control Panel and set the UAC setting to "Never Notify". Why is Edge saying my admin account blocked me? Any ideas? I am also running Windows Server 2022 - 21H2. Thanks a lot!
You can't do that with a normal account too. Is AppLocker blocking you? And how does an administrator even get online?

Well, just to be clear and since you probably know this already, Microsoft Edge can run on an admin account right from the start. Even after moving the server to a domain controller, it's not really a security problem to use the web if you set things up correctly. There is always access to the server from some angle at all times, even when using Active Directory for remote computers that still need to get business info. If everything is configured right, there aren't too many security issues to worry about. With that being said, it's possible to use Edge. But why is this happening now? That's what we are talking about here. If you don't have any input on that, then try and find your tommy points somewhere else. I ran a power shell script that installed baseline GPOs from Microsoft's Security Compliance Toolkit (that's another reason to need access to the web). I think the problem lies in there. I have completely blown up the server and started fresh so I'll try and figure it out eventually. Any idea if regedit might something I have to change deep down there? If I post the powershell script, would that help us find the problem? Thank you!
Good luck there. I wasn't exactly sure what "tommy points" meant, but here folks were actually trying to help us out. We know how Edge/Server 2022 works. Most people don't understand it anyway. Anyway, using an admin account just to browse the web is a bad idea.
