The i3 should handle most of them, and even with a 3rd gen and dual core, I think it’s manageable. You might consider upgrading to a 3rd gen i5 or i7 if you want better performance, and adding another 8GB of RAM would help too. I’ve managed just fine on a 2nd gen quadcore with 8GB of RAM for about six years.
