Look up "gta v save folder location" on the web. Most games keep save files in a specific place, and copying them usually works.

We can still assist him in getting his save profile, even though it comes from a pirated version of the game. I understand how to support him, but this situation is indeed a gray area regarding potential problems.

Honestly, it's just a matter of saying they're SOL.
I think we can provide general guidance on where save files are typically found, but I wouldn't push too far beyond that.

If you genuinely regret it, you can purchase it. Luckily, it's only $9.89 for the Premium Online Edition now until the 7th of January. Just avoid going to Taco Bell more than once in the next couple of weeks or it will be covered. You also receive $10,000,000 worth of free items. And your game saves will be transferred. Make sure you don't play GTA Online with any mods you've already installed or you'll be instantly banned.
