You have an old motherboard nearby. Want advice on turning a PS/2 to USB/Micro USB adapter with its components? Also, you're curious about other projects you can do once the board and case are in good shape. Edited Nov 11, 2020 by Abhirupam Sarmah

Another of your messages that seems confusing... Are you attempting to change a PS/2 keyboard or mouse to a USB version? Or are you trying to utilize PS/2 ports as USB connections?

Sure, I've got a PS/2 keyboard nearby and I'm eager to tackle this project.

The only way would be to fully power on the computer and then transmit the input via a network link. There might be tools for this, but it would be a poor approach—using the whole system just to operate a keyboard remotely.

I’m interested in working with software but prefer building something tangible using components from an old MOBO.

Convert to a Soarers adapter using a $5 Pro Micro and a $1 female port, or opt for a direct PS/2 to USB converter.

As noted by others, this isn't possible.
