I experienced the same issue before, so I backed up all my .exe files to avoid downloading everything. I just restarted Windows and added some new wallpapers to a slideshow. It looks great now.

I currently display four icons on my desktop: the recycle bin behind my rainmeter skins, three STL files for 3D models that are ready for printing, and no hidden tips—just staying organized by avoiding clutter.

They probably shouldn’t have removed it after all. Just remove unnecessary shortcuts and move real files into the correct folders elsewhere.
