Looking for trustworthy places to buy or obtain Windows 7 Home Premium keys? I’m fixing a broken laptop for a coworker and prefer software that runs on Windows 10. Could anyone recommend reliable websites where you’ve actually used Windows 7 keys? It would help if the suggestions came from someone with real experience. No problem if it’s for the UK—just let me know!

Windows 7 is no longer supported. There are no official keys available anymore. You might need to look in the gray market to find OEM keys.

Let your teammate know it's time to retrieve his crucial files and refresh the system. Windows 7 is no longer receiving security updates (End of Life).

Thank you for your feedback. I hadn't realized EOL meant there were no keys available. I'll try to locate an alternative solution.

I understand Windows 7 is no longer supported. For your needs, consider using an older version like Windows Vista or XP, or explore lightweight alternatives such as Linux distributions designed for legacy systems.

It resembles offering used food that’s past its prime... Microsoft can’t really sell Windows 7 keys anymore since support has ended. If your device doesn’t have the hardware needed for Windows 10, the best option might be switching to a Linux distribution or visiting places like Kinguin to look for genuine OEM keys, though this isn’t seen as trustworthy.

It's time to upgrade to a fresh laptop. Alternatively, he might try one of many Linux distros built for less powerful systems such as Lubuntu.

I required a Win7 product key two years ago while assembling a replacement PC for Windows Media Center. WMC wasn’t included with Win10, so it was an add-on for Win8. I purchased what seemed to be a used key from PCDestination (search it online). I believe they still offer Win7 keys. The main reason to use it appears to be for cable TV installation work. I planned to keep redundant hardware/software in 2020 since Win7 is now ending of support. I didn’t face any problems during installation or activation, and the system has performed well ever since. I also have a system image stored on a separate SSD just in case.

Selling keys was discontinued long ago, around the time Windows 8 launched. They’re still available second-hand from various sellers, similar to those from earlier versions.
