I recently assembled a PC and mistakenly purchased an i7-12700K but it was actually the KF variant. I’m unable to extract video from the graphics card, which prevents installing Windows or drivers. Can I transfer Windows onto an M.2 drive using another machine and then move it to my new build with the proper drivers installed? As a side note, I looked for similar issues before posting but didn’t find any.

Specs: i7-12700KF, MSI Mag Tomahawk Wifi DDR4, Corsair Vengeance LPX, 32GB, Gigabyte, GeForce RTX 3070Ti, Samsung 990 Pro, 2TB, EVGA SuperNova 850 P6.

It's not recommended. I'm uncertain about the purpose here.

It's not recommended but you should aim for GPU output, as it would be the initial action in resolving this problem. Not receiving output won't resolve itself by switching Windows installations or relocating the setup. You shouldn't have to transfer Windows to another PC and re-install it just to address the issue.

The GPU not working is unusual. It should display at least a BIOS screen. Something else might be the issue. Regarding your concern, it’s not recommended. Just installing Windows without setting it up properly isn’t ideal—leaving it in the default setup works fine.
