If you're a student, you might find Windows for 70 dollars on Microsoft or look for electronics websites offering discounts. However, I wouldn't rely on third-party resellers, especially considering recent issues with uPlay and FC4.

I purchased a Windows 8.1 key from G2A.com... it worked until two days ago when I performed a fresh installation. Microsoft flagged the key as pirated, so I can't use Windows 8 anymore. Now I'm stuck with a Windows 10 tech preview until I can buy an OEM version of 8.1 Pro from a trusted shop, since Microsoft charges £189 in the UK for a new Windows Pro key. Fortunately, I'm only spending about £12 out of pocket, which isn't a huge loss for me. However, I believe it's better to steer clear of Windows keys from G2A.com.
