I acquired this vintage Dell OptiPlex board and wanted to assemble a system. I connected all the components I needed, but now I’m stuck—can’t find the power pins to short them. I’m worried it might damage the motherboard, so I’m hesitant to try anything risky. I have a Dell GX270 motherboard with a 9-pin design.

I believe these are among Dell’s proprietary front IO header boards. Do you still possess the front panel from the same machine as this board?

The connections will go into this front panel header. The exact pins to connect are unclear—you’ll need to try different ones.
