You can disable the fan by adjusting the power supply settings. Check if your power supply has a control for fan speed or on/off functions. You might also try reseating the connector or using a different power supply with manual controls. If needed, you could modify the wiring to block the 6V pin from reaching the fan.

For a two-wire fan, you need to cut the wires on the fan itself that connect from the hub to the LEDs.

Examine the LED, cut the wire attached to it. If you're still uncertain: Capture an image of the fan with visible wires, and share it here. This will help identify the correct snip location.
