Hey, I understand you're setting up a PC and it's not turning on. You noticed the RAM lights came on briefly but didn't see any data transfer. Based on what you have—R5 3600 CPU, MSI B550 VDH WiFi motherboard, 16GB RAM, RTX 3060, and a 750W Corsair PSU—it looks like the issue might be with the CPU or the motherboard itself. Try checking the power connection, ensure the PSU is supplying enough wattage, and see if other components boot up. If problems persist, consider testing the RAM or consulting a technician.
Are all connections secure? Did the fans seem ready to spin or was it just the RAM? Is there still power from the wall outlet you’re using? (check if the breaker is intact) Have you attempted to start the PC with a screwdriver instead of using the case’s power button? (remove the front I/O and manually connect pins 6 and 8 together with a screwdriver)
Spoiler: Could you share photos of the interior and back of the case so we can review what happened? (clear, high-quality images in good lighting, covering all angles, not just isolated spots, ideally... If you have a potato camera, I’ll forget I asked)
