I purchased a PC and plan to install Windows 7. I’m unsure if it came with Ultimate or Professional edition. It’s a desktop, not a laptop, and it’s used for gaming.

Press the window key plus R, then type CMD. This will direct you to a command line where WMIC is available, followed by OS, which will reveal your operating system.

I'm looking for the top options for PCs, not laptops. Which one suits you best?

You're using an Intel Core i5-4670K processor. It's a mid-range chip, suitable for everyday tasks and light gaming.

I tested mine with an overclock on Windows 8.1 and it performed exceptionally well.

It won't really affect performance. Check the available features and choose whether Ultimate's extra options are necessary. Unless you intend to use BitLocker, it might not be worth it.
