It's a high chance that it is your CPU. Do ctrl shift esc to open task manager, click the Performance tab, and while running Flight Sim, alt tab out (or if you have 2 monitors, keep it open on 2nd monitor) and check what component is running at 100%. If it's your GPU, then that's an easy fix. If it's the CPU, which it likely is, you'd be looking at a new CPU, Mobo, RAM (cause DDR4). If you can change those yourself, then the rest could be reusable.

New CPU, board, and RAM options available. I recommend the Ryzen 5 2600 because it's affordable right now, plus a B450 motherboard.
