This feature manages the RGB display instead of providing power to the fan motor.

Use a dedicated wire for the fan motor, a 3-pin adapter to manage speed via voltage adjustment, or a 4-pin PWM connector for accurate control through pulse width modulation.

Manual page 15 mentions the fan connector handles both DC and PWM, with default DC mode in BIOS. Page 8 indicates SYS_FAN2 is positioned second on the lower left corner of the file.

The ARGB connector you show in picture connects to JRGB1 next to SYS_FAN2 There is also SYS_FAN1 above the pci-e slot And a CPU_FAN1 for your CPU when it arrives.

JRGB stands for 12v RGB. MSI often labels their ARGB header as JRAINBOW. Refer to the B550m Mortar manual for details: https://download.msi.com/archive/mnu_exe...MORTAR.pdf

You're considering swapping your 5600 for an Intel 12400F and an AMD Ryzen 4000X in this build. With a Gigabyte B760 motherboard, it should be feasible to disassemble the system and upgrade the CPU. Just make sure you have the right tools and follow proper safety procedures.
