Usually I decline, but considering Ryzens' past and performance... I'll go ahead!

It's kind of thoughtful of you to consider spending, but I'm still unsure about the 5900x/5800x ratio.

In contrast to your setup... it doesn't matter. Use your money wisely. 5800X will smoke a 7700 (non K).

I’m sticking with the 2700X and won’t upgrade to anything lower than Ryzen 5000 series. I expect the current chip to last at least five years, maybe longer. A 5800X should still be functional for about five years. EOL is coming up in two years.

the price difference is minimal, about 120$, which I’m okay with paying because it includes extra 4 cores and 8 threads (my whole current processor).

I understand that. The 2700X with 8 cores and 16 threads is impressive, especially for handling heavy rendering and multitasking. If you're into F@H or Setti, other configurations might be better suited. It's a lot of processing power!

The store said the 5900x will arrive in two weeks. I’ve been waiting a long time and now I’m considering the 5800x since it’s available right now.
