It brings back memories of incoming notifications. The updated Gmail design with sections like promotions, social, updates, and forums is quite appealing. Can you find a similar setup for that?

For notification: You have options to receive emails manually or automatically at specified intervals such as 15 minutes, 30 minutes, or hourly. You can also turn off email alerts entirely. To disable notifications, simply view the live tile and see only the count of new emails. For manual delivery, open Mail App settings, navigate to Accounts, select your GMail account, then choose the option under Download new e-mail. In the dropdown, pick your preferred setting. If you want to ignore emails, go to Mail App settings again, under Accounts, click your GMail account, and in Show Notification for, choose "Never." Regarding GMail preferences, if auto-filtering is active, you can mark folders as favorites by selecting the star in the relevant section.

Sure, but it might mean I overlook crucial messages. Disabling alerts probably won’t make a difference either.

It seems you might have missed the end of your message. The last paragraph was noted, but the full context isn't clear yet. Let me know how you'd like to proceed!

I'm having trouble locating those sections—Primary, Social, Promotions, Updates, and Forums—in the app.

Sure, understand. Those aren't folders, so IMAP can't handle categories. That means you won't be able to use this feature. You'll need an app like Google's GMail for that.

How can I get the app to download on its own? My store app isn’t working right.

For Windows 8 applications, you must update your App Store. It can't be changed from outside.
