IIRC Meteor lake follows after Raptor lake, meaning it won't appear for over a year. Even Raptor lake will emerge about six months later. Expect to spend roughly $50-100 trying to upgrade your CPU on eBay, and the promised 10% boost doesn't justify the wait. Stick with your existing processor instead.

Raptor Lake offers only a slight boost in IPC compared to Alder Lake. The main change is the higher number of E cores. If you liked the 12,600K performance, you probably didn’t mind the core count. Just take it for what it is—one of the top CPUs available right now and it will last you a long time.

No. 12600k is an impressive machine. It handles monster games better and stays cooler than my Ryzen 5800x setup. For everyday tasks, Alder Lake performs well without overheating. It offers 10 cores and 16 threads, making it a reliable choice for the future.
