You're able to play it, but expect lower frame rates in PUBG since it's more demanding on your system.

BF1 maxed out no, you have to turn down to like medium. PUBG good luck, it's very badly optimized and when I used to play it at 1080p it dropped under 60fps despite me using a gtx 1080.

Strange, PUBG is running way better on my GTX 970 since July 24th last year (That was when I bought it). You can run games at 60 fps with medium-high settings. This is what I use for PUBG : FPS Camera FOV : 103 Screen Scale : 120 Anti-Aliasing : Medium Post-Processing : Medium Shadows : Very Low (Try low also) Textures : Ultra Effects : Low (Try medium also) Foliage : Very Low View Distance : Ultra V-Sync : Off (If your FPS will be unstable try to put it on)

It was a CPU slowdown, but I can play in 4K without many interruptions at 60 FPS (went from an i5 4670K running at 4.9GHz to an R7 1700X). It's odd that the Ryzen handles PUGB better since its single-thread performance isn't much stronger than the fourth-gen Intel chips.

PUBG got improvements for multiple cores previously. Using the command -USEALLAVAILABLECORES made it work well on a high-end setup with a powerful GPU and ample memory.

For BF1 high or medium it works, and running from PUGBUGS is pretty tough, as I found out

I faced issues with bf1 because of my 8GB RAM setup—it wasn’t dual-channel, which caused lag mainly when loading large maps. You should be able to run it smoothly at 1080p in medium or low settings around 60fps, especially in smaller game modes. For pubg, a strong CPU is essential for stable performance.
