It's not uncommon for things to change over time.

Some applications measure the real MHz on RAM, whereas others estimate it based on the actual speed. The effective value used is what matters, even though the raw MHz is reduced.

Are you checking if pushing your computer to its limits reveals any issues?

i'm not sure what you're referring to when you mention pushing it to the limit. if you mean upgrading the ram, that's acceptable since ram sticks are quite capable. for gaming, 8gb should be sufficient unless you're using a very high-end setup. if you're running on 4gb, you'll need to turn off many windows services to reduce memory usage and improve performance. however, 4gb is generally not advised for budget models like the bf series.

I’m not overclocking, but my GPU is factory OC. I’m curious—are these specifications suitable for playing BF4?

factory oc is functioning properly. Keep in mind that a 960 isn't among the high-end cards you might expect to run everything smoothly on ultra. It's best to keep everything at ultra and use shadows for medium or shaders, or lower anti-aliasing. You may need to adjust your Windows settings if you want to stay within a 4GB RAM system.

Adjust Battlefield 4 to 32-bit settings in Origin. This will lower the memory requirements for the game.
