Not really even that. It consumes more power, produces more heat and has the performance uplift of what you can make a 13600k do when you sneeze on the oc settings There is literally no reason to get a 14600k unless it somehow costs less Hell on an asus board that 13600k is already going over base and easily matches an 14600k. Sure asus probably also boosts those but thermal limits are there too. So yeah clock for clock these might as well be the same thing

We're connected to more than just empty space. A 14600kf processor would make an excellent choice for any home computer.

We're definitely not what you expect, especially outside a vacuum. The 14600k(f) isn't quite right now—it's only marginally better but runs hotter and uses more power. A more affordable 13600k offers a much better deal. Performance-wise it's fine, but in a non-vacuum environment it falls significantly behind.

Completely in agreement with @jaslion. It doesn’t make sense to adopt the 14th generation just because it’s a powerful CPU. Data and testing have shown that few reviewers even suggest skipping it. I’m taking all your points into account, but there’s no solid evidence to support the claim that it’s a great CPU.

Absolutely, we're not operating in isolation. The 14600kf consumes more power while delivering similar results. It's strong enough since previous generations were. It's a flawed product, and that's what really counts. We don't exist in a utopian scenario where everything is effortless. You can't ignore the true worth of something just because it seems convenient.

Perfectly put, it’s essentially the same around 13,600k. In the worst case, it could be even worse. There’s nothing significantly better about it—just another price increase, similar to what the previous generation offered. The only 14th-gen CPU making a real difference is the i7, and that’s it.

The 14600kf is indeed a version of the 13600kf, correct? I assumed it would perform similarly since it's a direct copy. That's what I was thinking. That's all.

And yes, you'll need a bios update to support models beyond the 12th generation. The 13600k is essentially identical to the 14600k but uses less power and stays cooler. Pair it with a thermalright peerless 120 for optimal performance.

It's a significantly inferior version. That's the message we're conveying. It costs more, runs hotter, uses more power, but still delivers performance close to each other. You can easily enable full boost on the 13600k and it will perform just as well while using less power and generating less heat for less money. This is the goal we're aiming for. Compared to previous models, this one falls short in many areas. It suggests it's not a worthwhile purchase since it underperforms overall. When seeking guidance, we should avoid promoting something that clearly undercuts its predecessors.
