Hello everyone, I just installed the latest update to Windows 10, but whenever I try to upgrade it, my computer restarts back to the desktop with the current version still running. I found out that some essential OS files are missing, which means I probably won’t be able to upgrade without having all the necessary files. I’m planning to perform a full reinstall from a USB drive, but I’m unsure whether I’ll need to re-enter my CD key since it should already be linked. Should I reactivate the CD key during the reinstall process? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Yes, you're right, unless it's Windows 10, it often handles itself.
