You can definitely eliminate one of the files to reduce the size of your ISO, since it’s currently too big for your requirements.

You need a smaller ISO to achieve better image quality. If you want to tweak the settings, try ntlite.

ESD wasn't always a substitute for WIM. Typically, a setup includes either one or the other, not both. At least based on what I've observed... let me know if you're mistaken.
