It's a good idea to proceed, since the drivers from the earlier motherboard are already on the same drive and mixing them could cause issues.

You shouldn't need it, but it would help if you did. Windows should function, though you might run into a driver problem occasionally—nothing that should crash the system. The worst outcome could be needing to "reactivate" Windows through MS support.
