On the site, it states the maximum supported frequency is 2666MHz. If you have RAM meeting that spec, it should work in this motherboard.

It will drop to 2666 but that's fine. If you're thinking about assembling a PC, steer clear of B and H series boards—they tend to be unreliable and have memory restrictions as well.

These are the RAM speeds available. You can definitely use it, just set the profile in BIOS to 1 and adjust the speed accordingly. [Note] For an i5, the limit is 2666 MHz; i7/i9 can go up to 2933 MHz.

The threshold is 2666, which is why we advise against Intel B and H series boards. Sloe memory significantly slows down CPU performance on current systems. It's better to wait for Zen3 or opt for a Zen2 setup right now.
