The setup uses the lower PCI-E lane for the 2080 Ti FTW3, which impacts modern gaming performance. On a Z590 chipset, this results in noticeable lag during 1440p gaming or daily tasks. While a riser cable could help, completing the water-cooling loop isn’t appealing anymore. There’s little practical advantage for 1440p or regular use.

The final position is just a PCI-X1 on their website. The highest option is X16. Other slots beyond the first will cause significant delays. The middle two are fine, but the last one will be quite slow.

You personally purchase a fresh roll of tubing and modify the GPU's water cooling line.

I did some YouTube research and discovered several benchmark profiles across different games using a 1080p resolution. The graphs show the performance differences between various configurations, with x1 around 30-50% lower than x4/8/16 lanes. It seems modern GPUs aren't fully utilizing the higher bandwidth options. I think upgrading to a better riser cable or bracket might help. Also, I'll need new tubing and recut it for optimal results. If you have any tips on improving performance, let me know right away.
